Cameo Systems Modeler is an enterprise tool for SysML modeling. Cairn is not a SysML tool: it is a browser workspace where an idea becomes a first systems model with AI, reviewed change by change. This page says what Cairn does, and when a formal tool is the one you need.

What Cairn is for
The early part of a design: from a description to a system tree with requirements, interfaces, behavior, verification and the decisions behind them. The interview starts the model, and the AI proposes changes you review in Change Review.
Cairn's model is its own, not SysML. It reads the same model through lenses such as Architecture with an N² chart, Behavior with state machines, and a verification matrix.
What Cairn is not
Cairn does not read or write SysML, and has no diagram types from the SysML standard. It has no shared workspace, no access control and no integration with other engineering tools. If your program depends on any of those, a formal SysML tool is the one to use.

Cairn fits when
- The design is still forming and you need a first model quickly
- You want AI help that proposes changes you review, rather than diagrams you redraw
- You are one engineer or a small group without an MBSE process yet

- You need SysML models for a customer, a standard or a program
- Many people edit one model, with roles and access control
- The model must connect to other engineering tools in your organization

- No. Cairn is for forming a model early, with AI. It does not write SysML, and it has no shared workspace.
- Can I move a Cairn model into a SysML tool?
- Not directly. Cairn exports its model as JSON, Markdown and CSV, which you can read into other tools with your own scripts.
